Swim the distance from Bergen to Lerwick

Portobello, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. 18th December 2022.A swimming challenge, distance from Norway to Shetland for Samaritans because of their vital role in suicide prevention. This morning a group of friends braved the Firth of Forth off Portobello beach in Edinburgh, it was a sunrise swim in memory of Michael Findlay, who tragically died just over a year ago. Friends are swimming for charity the distance from Bergen to Lerwick, approx 370km, in both sea and swimming pools. A fundraiser was started for Samaritans last Friday and to date, collectively as a group they have swum over 40k of the 370k target, the distance from Bergen in Norway to Lerwick in Shetland. https://tinyurl.com/2p6cn6ue
